As I have been taking a break from writing and beginning to focus my thoughts, time and prayer to the Lord, He has given me something new to write about and share. I got a planner for my birthday along with a devotional book that I started reading on New Year’s Day 2021 back last summer. As I opened my new 2021 calendar and found pages for the following goals or dreams, a grateful for section along with notes and included a blank page introducing each month of the year, the LORD brought to mind some Bible verses for the year and for this month. I would like to share them with you as I go through this year of 2021 as each month begins.
My scripture for 2021 is Proverbs 3:5-6 Amplified Classic Edition
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
My Scriptures for the month of January are as follows:
- PSALM 42:1 ESV
As the deer pants for the flowing waters so my soul pants for you, oh God. My soul thirsts for the living God.
2. PROVERBS 3:7-8 Amplified Classic Edition
Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently worship and fear the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and morrow and moistening to your bones.
Reflection Question
Who or what am I trusting in for financial security, health, and well-being? If the answer is anything besides the Living God, then I ask you the Holy Spirit to convict me in my heart of the sin of having another god or gods in my life right that are, have or continue to have an influence over me.
READ OUT LOUD THE LIVING WORD OF GOD .
DWELL ON IT.
SEEK THE LIVING GOD.
LIVE OUT WHAT THE LORD TELLS ME.
GIVE THE LORD THE PRAISE!
